Almost Done...

We are 99% unpacked now! We just have to put a couple of Rubbermaid containers in storage and there is 1 box left in our bedroom and the playroom. Hopefully I can get those last 2 boxes unpacked and out on the curb today because trash pickup is in the morning. (You should have seen the curb last Friday!) Steven is working nights so he is asleep right now, so as long as the girls are quiet and behave I should be able to get it done.
As soon as I get my car back, we need to purchase a couple of pieces of furniture. We need some end tables for the living room, a bookshelf, toy chest, a rocking chair/arm chair/recliner, and some bean bag chairs for the girls and Steven. It seems like so much when I write it out, but the living room is so long and bigger than our old house that we need some more things for it. Steven says that from the tv to the couch is like a football field, it's not- ha!, but he doesn't like playing his video games from that far away. In the mean time, we moved the rocking chair out of Ruby's room to the living room to suffice for now. She isn't using her crib at night yet, partly because the room isn't put together(especially no curtains) and partly because she is not completely sleeping through the night. She wakes up to eat at least once and then goes straight back to sleep. It'll be harder on me now that Steven is working nights and I won't have help. But he only works 15 days a month now so there's the plus side!
We are all just ready to get back into a routine so things seem normal!

PS. After I wrote this, Steven informed me that trash day was that morning so I had already missed it, lol. My days are all confused, hopefully that gets corrected soon :) And I WILL add photos soon, the internet is slow here and the uploader is working right!

It's Here!!!

All of our household goods and unaccompanied baggage arrive this past week. Our girls are in HEAVEN! It was Christmas times 10! Every time they would open a box it was pure joy all over again. I am so happy to have everything back and we are mostly unpacked. The kitchen is a disaster though. I want to wash everything as it comes out of the box and our dishwasher is only so big (pretty small compared to US standards), so I want to do a load of dishes and start hand washing the rest. The same goes for all of our clothes and linens. They came out of the box with a weird smell, not horribly gross, but a tinge from the box. So I will be washing EVERYTHING, and that is going to take a few days. Hopefully we will be completely unpacked and everything hung on the walls by the time Steven goes back to work on Monday night.
The movers in England are another story! They were complete morons when it came to packing. Our bed is on a lift so that you can store things underneath. There is a bunch of screws and pieces of hardware that complete the bed. The bed had to be taken apart to get out of the house and into the crate, so they put random pieces in a lot of random boxes. Steven and I seriously searched for hours trying to find all the pieces. There was even a box with our bed linens and pillows in it and they put ONE piece in there when they all could have easily fit in there together, or they could of wrapped it all in the tissue paper like they did everything else, but no we had to go on a scavenger hunt. They even left on of the bolts to the girls beds at the old house and are lucky Steven found it there and I put it in a bag in my suitcase or one of the girls would not have a bed right now.
Milo is loving the couches. He has been sleeping there instead of our bed. We our LOVING our bed. We haven't slept on anything decent in 2 months so our backs have been killing us. Sleeping in our own bed for 2 nights has already helped, as I am already feeling the difference in my back.
We are just so happy to have everything and move on from this move! Now if only our car would get here, things would just be so peachy :) I'll post some pictures of the house once we are all unpacked, no more boxes and everything is up on the walls.

Meet the Newest Member of Our Family.....

Meet Milo :)

Ruby is 3 Months Old!

Ruby Elaina is now 3 months old and we can't figure out where the time has gone. She is 12.6 lbs and probably about 22" long. In the past month or so you have stayed in a hotel, flown on an airplane, and completed your first PCS. She smiles all the time and loves to talk and sing along with people. She is generally a very happy baby and full of personality. She has also has her first double ear infection, yay! Not. She still is suffering from this extreme cradle cap that just will not going away. She is an awesome sleeper. She goes to bed around 8pm and wakes anywhere between 3-5am to eat, then goes right back to sleep for 4-5 hours to eat again.

She is still wearing 0-3 or 3 month clothes. In the photos, she is wearing the same thing she wore in last months picture I think. She is still wearing size 1 diapers and eating about 6 oz. every feeding. Right now she isn't eating or sleeping very well due to the ear infections but she'll bounce back. Even though she is sick, most of the day she is still in a very good mood! We all love her so much♥

More Kids Say the Darndest Things!

They may look cute and innocent, but don't be fooled! They are smarter than you think they are!
The girls are always saying the craziest, funniest things. They are so smart and curious and will say just about everything that's on their minds. I'll keep updating as I remember more.
  • Lilly was looking at Steven's feet and noticed that there were hairs on his feet. So she asked her Daddy, "You have hairs on your feet, how do we get them to the top of your head? That's where they need to be."
  • Last night I asked Sadie if she was ready to get into her bed? She said, "No I don't want to." I asked her why not and her response, "Because I said so.", and rolled over.
  • I said out loud that my foot was falling asleep, and with skipping a beat or looking up Lilly says, "Wake it up."
  • Sadie and Lilly were talking about how they like Turkey more than England. Sadie says, "Yeah, I just need my Memo (Memaw) here too. And my Papop, I like my Papop."

Sorry It's Been So Long....

Well we just got telephone and internet at the house a few days ago, so we have been trying to update everyone and post photos. So far we are really liking it here. We like the base and love our house, and especially love the weather! The BX and commissary are limited, but we knew that before we got here and we are experienced online shoppers now :) Once Steven starts work next week, we'll see how much I like it! Right now he is supposed to work 12 hour shifts Sunday through Thursday, with Friday/Saturday off. I am hoping that the 12 hour shifts change soon, we all have gotten way to used to him being around more the past couple of months. We'll be sad to not see him as much, especially Miss Ruby who is by far our BIGGEST Daddy's Girl.

The girls love the all the tropical trees and the warmer weather. Lilly even said that she loved it here and she didn't like England so much except for school and her friends. Their favorite part, all the playgrounds in our neighborhood! They ask everyday when we can go. We try to take them as much as possible but it has been rainy the past few days. We also got to see "Legends of Aerospace" on Saturday night. It was really nice and Lilly loved to see real life astronauts, especially ones that walked on the moon.

Our household goods are scheduled to be here this week so hopefully they are and we get our things ASAP. This loaner furniture is crap. Steven and I both have bad backs and a good mattress is a MUST for us. The first bed we had wasn't very good. We had sore backs for years and didn't realize it was the mattress until we bought a new bed. We can't wait for that bed to get here! This mattress has been killing us. Once our things get here and are unpacked we'll take some more photos and post online.

I know there aren't any photos in this one, but the next post will be all photos. And I already have another post in mind after that. So once I get the chance to sit down at the computer again I'll post some more!
