Moving Update and Our Silly Girls

Well it's official, we will be leaving England on February 24th as long as we have a passport for Ruby or any other emergency comes up. I'm crossing my fingers hoping everything will go smoothly. We are getting really excited and can't wait to get there. The movers are coming this week to pack up the house, and once that is all done I know a HUGE weight will be lifted off of our shoulders. This week is just going to be crazy! The next big thing will be getting my car shipped, but lucky, thanks to a friend, we will have a car to drive around here until we leave.
Lately the girls have been keeping us on our toes with the way they are acting and what they are saying. We were at the BX last night and Steven bought me a birthday present, a Nikon D40 camera, when Lilly said, "Mom, why are you getting a camera? You already have one at home." We explained that this one was different and it was my birthday and one I really wanted. "OK," she says. "But you can't have anymore, you have enough cameras now." Needless to say, Daddy was behind me cracking up and agreeing with her.
Sadie is 2 years old now and has the biggest attitude ever. Steven asked her to do something the other day and she said "No." He then asked her why not and her response, "Because I said so" and preceded to walk away. No punishment given because Steven was try so hard not to laugh hysterically.
And not to be out shined by the Little Big One, Lilly surprised us again. Steven was in the kitchen while Lilly was eating lunch today. He burped and she says, "Daaaaad! Now what to you say?" Steven says, "I'm sorry, excuse me." To which Lilly responds, "Now what do you say to me for reminding you?" Steven, "Sorry Lilly, thank you for reminding me!"
And just because I am in love with my new camera:

One Month Old Already!?!

Well Ruby Elaina is one month old already and we can't believe how fast that first month went by. And unfortunately the time will start flying by even faster.
Right now Ruby is about 10lbs. and still wearing mostly newborn clothes. She has outgrown some because of her length, but any other size is still too big. She is wearing size 1 diapers. We are excited because she is starting to wake up more and stay awake longer. The girls love to see her big blue eyes open and often fight to be in Ruby's line of sight. We all look forward to her growing and seeing her personality come out.

First Blog!/About Us

After much thought, I have decided to start my very own blog! I started it so that our families can keep up with all of us and our lives since we are once again going to be living in another country. We have just about finished our tour here in England and hopefully next month be off to Incirlik AB, Turkey. All of us are very excited to get there and experience some of what Turkey has to offer and where we will be when we leave there. When we got orders for Mildenhall, here in England, we had been married for only a month and just moved into an apartment in Dover. We now have 3 beautiful girls and are about to have our 5 year anniversary. We barely had any household goods and furniture and are leaving with a house full of things. England has been pretty good to us and maybe one day we'll be stationed here again. But now here are a few updates about us.
Steven has recently been promoted. He just graduated from Airman Leadership School and has sewn on Staff Sergeant. We couldn't be more proud! He is still an MC-130h Combat Talon II crew chief and loves his job. He is a bit sad that he won't be working on his plane anymore once we get to Turkey. His squadron there is still maintenance but it deals with planes that break en route to another base. He is ecstatic to go to a place that has a more similar climate to Texas than England does.
I on the other hand, have been trying to heal. I have been trying to rest and relax so that I can heal but I have a huge problem sitting still, which is why I was only in the hospital for 36 hours. Having my mom here was a huge blessing. She was such a big help and the girls loved having here. We were all sad to see her go. Steven has since taken over the household chores and has been amazing throughout everything. Lately I have been trying to get the house in order before the movers come to pack us out, and I am dreaming of the day we are finally in Turkey and unpacked. It is crazy how much you have to think about packing in suitcases to bring with us or have shipped. Hopefully once we get there and settled, I'll be able to start crafting and painting again.

Lilly is 3.5 now and is entering her last month at Busy Bees Nursery School. She absolutely loves it there and will be heartbroken when we leave. Steven and I love everything about the school and her teachers. She took swim lessons there in the spring and summer and is no longer terrified of the water which is a blessing. She is still in gymnastics which she has taken to calling it going to the gym and working out, it's too cute. Just after she turned 2 she decided she was going to be a doctor when she "gets big" and hasn't changed her mind. She knows her colors, numbers, letters and is learning phonics and how to write and make letters.
Sadie is a ball of fire, literally. She just turned 2 and she keeps going, and going, and going until her little body can't take it anymore. She will literally be talking one second and snoring the next. She can count and sing her ABC's and knows her colors but will often tell you the wrong color when asked. She is terribly shy, even with people she knows well, so don't take it personally! Both she and Lilly speak like they are a lot older, in complete complex sentences and understand and follow what people say. They are incredibly smart, but you won't fully understand how intelligent until you meet them in person. They have us cracking up most days!
Ruby Elaina is our newest bundle of joy! She was born on December 9, 2009 (they day before Sadie's birthday) at 8:05 am London time. She was 7lbs 15oz and 20.5" long. She has dark hair with a bald spot on top because she sat head down on top of my hip bone for several weeks, and blue eyes. We had many complications throughout the pregnancy and a few more after birth, but are extremely blessed with our miracle baby. She had breathing, reflux, and jaundice problems and spent 9 hours in the nursery under an oxygen hood. She no longer has any breathing or jaundice issues, but still has reflux problems. Hopefully she will outgrow it soon. She is a wonderful baby, sweet and calm.
Hopefully I will be able to keep this blog updated, but with 3 little ones and an international move in the works, it can be difficult to find the time. But I will definitely update it once we are in Turkey!
